The war is a never ending fact, a never ending cycle; it keeps go on and on and on. Even after Obama’s election, Obama who holds a conviction that war must be stopped, it does not end. In Afghanistan, people all over the world fight for the unjust and the terrorists who are against the world. The constant threats of nations are the major issue of war in these days, such as N.Korea and Alkaida. After reading the article from CNN “U.S. losing war in Afghanistan, McCain says” I knew the fact that Obama’s administration tries to stop this threat against United States through sending out soldiers, which McCain view that war in Afghanistan is not winning.

          The article shows McCain’s vision; the war in Afghanistan is not winning, but still necessary to protect the United States from the threats of terrorism. He also thinks that there should be more support from the United States, more soldiers, more than 17000. His opinion harmonizes with Obama’s but he enforces more force in terms of military aspect since he served as a veteran soldier in United States. The article conveys that war in Afghanistan is necessary and it should be aggrandized in terms of military.

          I agree with McCain’s ideology that the military force in Afghanistan should be extended and enforced. Since 9.11 and before, U.S. had put billions of money and effort to stop the threat in Afghanistan region; however it never ends. I think this is absolutely absurd, with the world’s greatest force; the U.S. is not winning the war, but “losing” it. Therefore I agree with McCain that there are necessities to aggrandize the military force in Afghanistan.

The economic crisis is becoming bigger and bigger type of an issue without specific treatment or cure.  The nations feel threaten, yet still have no solution to get out of this fatal crisis, just hoping for this brutal wave of to pass them briefly. Especially, Korea is struggling a lot. They have lost billions and billions of dollars because the buyers all over the world promoted “cell Korea”, envisioning the negative economic growth of Korea. The dollar price is rising, which means all products’ prices are rising. Meanwhile, the stupid Korean government has no plan, literally no plan, to solve this issue; they just think that time will solve everything, making absurd claims and no efforts. I read this  article from BBC Obama unveils his $3.6tn budget and I was fascinated by it. Unlike the unintelligent Korean government, on the other side of earth, Obama’s administration had decided to unveil the $3.6tn budget, the prominent decision that people hope to be a catalyst that will be an exit to the global economic crisis. He has a strong conviction that this veil out of money will destroy the economic crisis. Planned spending includes $634bn to pay for healthcare reform and an extra $250bn to be set aside, in case it is needed to bail out US banks. The details will come out in April. The president promised to increase tax cuts for the very wealthy and businesses that move jobs overseas, unlike Bush who was against this common sense. He also promised that his budgets would be an honest accounting of the country’s economic situation and include “the full cost of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan”. Obama administration is putting their best effort to solve this matter; he try to make the stopped economy to roll again.

            The veiling out will be a solution to the financial crisis in United States and the economic crisis in all over the world; however, I still do not think that the problem is fixed. I have a feeling that this veil out will just be an ‘instant’ solution. By releasing this magnanimous money, the economy will flow again, but will be stopped again. Still, I know there will be no ‘constant’ solution. This will be the most direct and the only way to get out of this chasm of money crisis. Obama administration is putting their best effort to bring solution to economic crisis; but I think they have to release their sights into the matter that caused this situation, they have to stop the cycle.

             Obama strongly stated that he will solve the derogatory remarks from the past eight years “as soon as practicable, and no later than one year from the date of this order.” those especially pointing at his conviction to stop the war and bring peace to the America. The article from the LA times reveal his action not only compromises of the promise that he made during the campaign, but also gives finger to the Bush administration, simply judging their work as intolerable act. His action brings the new challenge, how he will clean up the mass that Bush administration has made. He is facing a great task; only three of the prisoners were judged in last five years and now he wants to clean up all those prisoners in a year. The immediate action that he made not only predicts the bright future of America but also reveal to other nation that America’s democracy stands strong.

            

Cooling Down The Earth

Global warming is here; there are no more ways to escape from this beast but to face it.

As a matter of fact, the earth is boiling down. The temperature is sharply rising; it is above the limit and out of control. The cure for it is still unknown while it rapidly becomes the most serious threat against the mankind. The scientists warn people that with an uprising of six degrees Celsius, there would be no living organisms which can survive on the earth. There are no precedents for the global warming; therefore people are afraid to deal with this gigantic matter. However, President-elect Obama is about to make the change. The article from boston globe “Obama sounds alarm on global warming” describes Obama’s step towards the global warming.

The president elect-Obama gathered with the vice president Algore, who won the Nobel Prize in making progress to global warming.  He has a strong conviction to cool down the earth, check the global warming. “Since Clinton’s inauguration, summer Arctic sea ice has lost the equivalent of Alaska, California, and Texas. The 10 hottest years on record have occurred since Clinton’s second inauguration” the article states. Obama tries to face with the biggest task of the era, the global warming with the great conviction. “The time for delay is over; the time for denial is over,” Obama said. His desire for success is revealed; naming “Nobel physics laureate Steven Chu as his energy secretary and former Environmental Protection Agency chief Carol Browner as the head of a new council”. However, it is still a doubt whether congress would agree with Obama; “it’s not at all clear that he and Congress will agree on an approach during a worldwide financial crisis”. Obama has a strong energy saving plan in January 2009, conveying 2009 will be different under the changes.

Personally, I feel very genuine and hospitable about Obama’s making progress in global warming. I believe his plan will run out straight, making changes around the world. The global warming will be stopped, at least regulated, under Obama’s wings. He has the conviction and plan for global warming, and I believe will bring the world back to the time where there were no global warming.

Throughout the history, it has not been anything new, high government officials selling their position, using their own authority. During the renaissance era, it was a substantial tradition; most people who had money could have bought the high position in church. They became elite class and obtained superiority toward those of bourgeoisie. It was not a problem until then; however, it became a big of a deal when the governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, “put up for sale his appointment of Barack Obama’s successor in the United States Senate“.

No one had imagined such admired governor was continuous with this mass, putting himself in lethal spot for the money. His future was lucid as a ‘rising star’ of Illinois; some even thought he might ‘climb as high as the white house’. He was “young and handsome, elected as a democratic congress in 1996 and governor in 2002”. He brought an ethic reform in Illinois; he was honored and famed. The greediness corrupted him.

On December 9^th, his filthy work rose up to the public. FBI agents, during a surprising investigation, found out that Mr. Blagojevich put up a Obama’s congress seat into a auction, convicted to sell the position to a highest bet, which FBI approximates about fifty million dollars. The article “The Chicago Way” wantonly conveys the cold hard truth: Rod Blagojevich’s audaciousness. He is now a joke for Americans. 

The impact of this incident is lethal. President-elect Obama was ridiculed by this corrupted congress man’s turn out, who was assigned to replace Obama’s name. The Democratic Party was ashamed; giving republicans reason to blame. The incident brought further questions, who were related to this brazen auction. ‘Jesses Jackson Junior’ is the one of the victims for the question, who strongly denies the assumption that he is connected with the auction.

American politicians brought me down. I have always conveyed that there are no corrupts in American politics, everything is justified and lucid. However, it was not true. I now realize politicians are dirty no matter where they are. I hope this incident would not have a negative impact on Obama.
